Server settings

Gentler survival, richer world

  • Hunger and thirst halved.
  • Loot doubled, peaceful wildlife doubled (wolves, bears and infected unchanged).
  • Vehicles doubled, delivered with a full tank.
  • Faster days.

At a glance

A chat bridged to Discord

Local and global, with a two-way Discord bridge: what is said in game reaches Discord, and the other way round.

Squads and a shared map

A tag, ranks, shared markers, and your teammates shown on the map as well as on screen.

A spoiler-free start

Discover the map blind or pick your starting town: your call.

Your stats, in game and online

Every session counts: seasonal leaderboards, server-wide numbers and a detailed player profile.

First connection

A welcome, and a start you choose

On your first connection, a screen sums up the server settings and opens two doors: the website and the Discord. Then you choose how to discover the map:

  • No spoilers (default): the terrain stays hidden and you land somewhere on the coast.
  • Show me everything: the full map, and a pick of your starting town among some fifteen coastal towns.

You can change this at any time in the panel.

P key

The HexShift panel

A tabbed panel, always one key away:

  • HexShift: your season stats, your character’s condition (health, blood, hunger, thirst, temperature) and a preview of your survivor.
  • Rules: this server’s rules, updated live.
  • Group: your squad.
  • Settings: spoilers, keys, how long chat lines stay on screen.

Your settings are kept by the server, so they follow you from one PC to another. At the bottom: players online, in-game time and the countdown to the next restart.

Chat

A chat built for DayZ, bridged to Discord

The stock chat is replaced by two channels:

  • Local, 60 m in 3D: two floors up, nobody hears you.
  • Global, relayed both ways with a Discord channel: every player shows up under their own name, and Discord messages appear in game in blue.

When you connect, you get the last minutes of global chat, Discord included. The anti-flood warns you before sending instead of swallowing your message.

Roles

Badges and squad tags

Discord roles show in game: a coloured name and an icon (shield, star, crown…) in front of every message. Squad members carry its [TAG].

Squads

Play as a group

Create your squad with a 2 to 6 character tag, up to 8 members, with leader, officer and member ranks. Invites are sent from the list of online players and accepted with one key.

In game, your teammates are listed top left with their distance, and a marker floats above them. The squad survives restarts and shows on your website profile.

Map

Markers, pings and a death marker

The full-screen map shows your squad and your markers. Double-click to place one: 72 icons, a label, shared with the group or private, visible in game or on the map only. Fifteen per player, kept across restarts.

A ping marks the spot you are looking at, up to 2 km away, for 15 seconds. When you die, a marker with your name drops on your body, for you and your squad.

Bodies

Bodies that tell a story

Aiming at a body tells you how long ago the player died. After five minutes it turns into a skeleton that keeps its loot for an hour, then fades away.

Server

Announced restarts, a mod always up to date

A restart is announced in game 5, 3 and 1 minute ahead, and its countdown shows in the panel and on the website. When the mod gets an update, the server updates itself, with the same warnings.

Fair play

An eye on the server side

The server spots impossible movement and behaviour, and alerts the staff, who make the call.

On the website

Your stats, everywhere

Every session feeds the leaderboards: playtime, kills, longest life, longest shot… by season, month or week.

Sign in to the members area and link your Steam account to get your detailed player profile: combat, survival, favourite places and activity.
